CARTER FAMILY / JOHNNY CASH The “First Family of Country Music” and the “Man in Black” have arrived at MIM. The exhibits give guests an overview of their musical careers and historical impact. The trio of A.P., Sara, and Maybelle Carter is widely recognized for helping launch country music’s commercial beginnings, while Johnny Cash bucked music industry norms, singing of America’s marginalized population, and later going on to achieve superstardom.
MAROON 5 Maroon 5 is one of the most successful groups in music today, writing hits that combine distinctive vocals with elements of rock, soul, funk, and more. The display features instruments from five band members, including lead singer Adam Levine’s rare Ibanez electric guitar and lead guitarist James Valentine’s Fender Telecaster Deluxe guitar.
